Scope
Cars are great, but no matter what car you buy, there is an opportunity to improve it or customize it in some way. Therein lies the opportunity to develop aftermarket components for Audi platforms that combine performance aesthetics with measurable performance gains. The product collection required solutions that maximize airflow, increase horsepower, and amplify engine sounds while adhering to the established Integrated Engineering design language.
The design process started with removal of parts and 3D scanning. Parts were developed with input from engineering to optimize for flow. Then through rapid prototyping, we tested fit and optimized relevent parts for sound, testing them with decible readers in real world scenarios.
The collection of parts we developed for Audi platforms all resulted in horsepower gains but more importantly, experiential gains. The sounds the intakes and exhaust produce seperating the user from the rest of traffic, and signalling to others that they are a performance car enthusiast.
